Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Nixrix uses cookies and similar technologies on nixrix.com, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a similar way. They can be used to make a website work, remember your preferences or understand how the site is used.
2. How we use cookies
We only set cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work without asking you first. All other cookies are off by default and are only used if you choose to allow them in our cookie banner or cookie settings.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
nixrix_consent | Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page. | 12 months |
_clck | Analytics (Microsoft Clarity) | Stores a unique visitor ID so Clarity can recognise returning visitors. | 1 year |
_clsk | Analytics (Microsoft Clarity) | Connects multiple page views into a single session recording. | 1 day |
CLID | Analytics (Microsoft Clarity) | Identifies the first time Clarity saw this visitor on any site using Clarity. | 1 year |
MUID, ANONCHK, SM, MR | Analytics (Microsoft) | Set by Microsoft to identify unique browsers and support Clarity and related Microsoft services. | Up to 1 year |
Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors use our website through heatmaps and session recordings, so we can improve it. Clarity masks text you type into forms. Until you allow Analytics cookies, Clarity runs in a limited no-consent mode: it sets no cookies and cannot link your page views together. The cookies listed above are only set if you allow Analytics, and are deleted if you later withdraw consent. Read Microsoft's privacy statement.
We do not currently use any marketing cookies. If we add them in future (for example Meta Pixel or Google Ads), they will be listed here and will only run with your consent.
4. Third-party services
- Fonts: our fonts are loaded from Fontshare. This shares your IP address with the provider to deliver the font files, but does not set cookies.
- WhatsApp and social links: when you click a WhatsApp, social media or Crawdle link, you leave our website. Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.
5. Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page or the button above. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may mean we ask for your cookie choices more often. Find out more at ico.org.uk.
6. Contact
If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please email info@nixrix.com.
